Solid Wood
Solid, Pre-finished hardwood floors have already been sanded and stained and are normally treated with 4 to 8 layers of urethane/Aluminum Oxide at the manufacturing plant which results in a harder, better protected surface. Over the years manufacturers have perfected sophisticated techniques of finish application where several coats of urethane/Aluminum Oxide can be applied within minutes. As a result pre-finished hardwood products have become very affordable over the years.

Engineered Wood
Engineered wood floors are constructed using a top layer of real hardwood and lower layers of thin wood sheets bonded together in opposite directions to create a single engineered wood plank. This method of construction lends the wood product a great deal of dimensional stability and creates a floor which is more resistant to moisture temperature fluctuations making it better suited for areas such as kitchens and basements.

Laminate
Laminate is a ground-breaking flooring product, which brings together the elegance and luxury of wood with a convenience and durability which distinguish it from other types of flooring. Compared to natural wood, laminates are convenient and low-maintenance and do not require staining or waxing. This type of floors is installed over an underlayment which provides a barrier against sound and moisture. Laminates come in a wide variety of styles and colors allowing you to bring the look of natural hardwood, tile or even stone to your home without the cost. In fact many laminate products offer extensive warranties against wear, and fading.

Bamboo
Bamboo is a green, eco-friendly product and is a great alternative to natural wood. Just like hardwood, bamboo comes in solid and engineered construction, and can be nailed, glued down or floated. Bamboo is highly durable; fire, insect and moisture resistant and is in fact 25 % harder than traditional Red Oak. Furthermore bamboo comes in a several patterns and widths to compliment a variety of decorative plans and designs.
